![]() ![]() So roaming was quite easy, Outlook roamed and was on line. Most documentation seems to point to Office Pro Plus - does the same apply to Office 365 Business Premium? Is there a guide on how to deal with licenses/activation in this environment? Do users need to know their 365 password to activate (currently they don't).Īnd secondly, previously when I've set up roaming, Exchange has always been on site, on fast networks and slow PCs, so Outlook was only ever cached on laptops - not office PCs. ![]() Previously, where I've worked with roaming profiles, the Office licenses have been volume licenses and there hasn't been any issue with roaming, but with 365 as software is licensed per user, not quite sure how to handle it. (Now, the fact there are other issues, like some non-MS mission critical apps are user specific, and local install, and impossible to roam - but that's another story, though hopefully being replaced soon) I've been asked about enabling roaming profiles for them to be able to move desks easier. Today, each user has a PC, Office is licensed to that user, and Outlook caches all emails locally. I have a customer (<50 users) running, and very happy with, Office 365 Business Premium - so including the Office Desktop. ![]()
